Our caring staff is available to you 7 days a week to provide support and information about social services that are available to you, and whether being a parent is an option for you at this time in your life.
WHAT IF I DO NOTHING?
You may feel like if you ignore the pregnancy then the problem will go away. By ignoring it you may lose control over what happens to your baby. By being proactive, you can remain in control of the process.

ADOPTION
Our staff will explore with you all of your options. You will also have an opportunity to learn about open adoption and what this could look like for you, if that's what you choose.
ABORTION, ADOPTION OR PARENTING?
Women facing an unplanned pregnancy often have to make some very tough decisions. For some these can be made more complicated by the nature of the debate between pro-life advocates and women’s choice advocates.
For many women that discussion is just the overlay on top of many other potential crises in their lives at that point.

ADOPTION PLAN
Sunrise will help you to develop an adoption plan, if adoption is your choice.
SUPPORT GROUP
Sunrise has a support group for women who have chosen to place their baby for adoption. Many women have found this connection to be helpful in normalizing their experience and feelings.
POST-ADOPTION
We will support you throughout the process and beyond. If you decide to place your child for adoption your counsellor will continue to stay connected with you and support you.
Our counsellors will walk with you through your journey, while offering respectful, non-judgmental, professional support. All of our services are at no cost to you.

What is Sunrise?
Sunrise Family Services Society is a licensed BC Adoption Agency, with offices located in Vancouver and Victoria. We deliver services throughout the Province and can help birth parents across Canada wishing to place their child for adoption. Wherever you live, our counselors can assist you to explore the options available to you. We meet the strict criteria and qualifications required by the British Columbia government.
Our caring staff is available to you 7 days a week to provide support and information. We can meet with you at our office, or come to meet you in your own community, as we have counsellors across B.C. Our wish is to help you get the information you need to make an informed decision about your options, and weigh the relevant factors as you decide whether or not to make an adoption plan.
