Connor & Jeremy

OUR PROMISE TO YOU:

Our absolute promise that will guide our parenting will be to love your child unconditionally and for a lifetime. We promise to keep challenging ourselves to learn and grow through the highs and lows of parenting; and work our hardest to give your child a joyful, supportive home with meaningful opportunities presented to them. Our hope is that your child grows with a sense of confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of who they are. But above all, we want them to feel safe, loved, and truly seen. Love and support will always be the foundation of our home.

ABOUT US:

Connor was born and raised in Calgary, AB, and is 38 years old. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who owns his own practice in the Lower Mainland. He completed his undergraduate degree in Nova Scotia and later earned his master’s degree in counselling psychology in Vancouver. Jeremy was born and raised Surrey, BC and is 30 years old. He is a Vice Principal at a secondary school in the Lower Mainland. He completed his undergraduate degree on Vancouver Island and later earned his master’s degree in curriculum education in Vancouver.

We met in 2019, shortly after Jeremy moved into an apartment in Vancouver with friends. While settling in, his roommates met the kind and charming guy who lived downstairs and encouraged Jeremy to get his number. A few weeks later, we were on our first date out for sushi. We got married in August 2024, and our family currently includes our golden retriever (Teddy) and our cat (Moose) who fill our home with laughter, affection, and a lot of silliness.

We are proud to have built a life grounded in trust, compassion, and a shared desire to keep learning about one another as we grow. We love travelling to Hawaii and Mexico, and we spend our summers at our cabin on Shuswap Lake, BC. As much as we enjoy exploring new places, we are often happiest at home, curled up on the couch watching reality TV, or sitting on the dock together during a sunset swim.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY:

We are lucky to have large and loving families. Connor’s mom lives in Calgary, AB, and he has two sisters, one in Fernie, BC and one in Cold Lake, AB. Jeremy’s parents live fifteen minutes away, and he has a brother and two sisters all within the same city. On Connor’s side, we have three nephews aged eight to seventeen. On Jeremy’s side, we have three nephews and two nieces, all under five-years-old. We spend a lot of time with Jeremy’s family since we live so close, but we often travel to visit Connor’s family. Family dinners happen every few weeks, and we love watching our nieces and nephews grow together.

Our weekends are usually spent with family and friends, walking Teddy along the river, meeting friends at a local brewery, or playing with our nieces and nephews at the park. In the summer, we spend our days at Shuswap Lake, BC swimming, relaxing on the dock, enjoying campfires under the stars, and making memories. In the fall and winter, we love visiting Connor’s family at their ranch in Fernie, BC, skiing, doing puzzles by the fire, and playing in the snow with Teddy.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY:

We live in Langley, BC, in a quiet, family‑oriented neighborhood. Our townhouse backs onto a small forest with a stream running behind it, and many of our friends and family live nearby. One of our favorite things about where we live is the network of nature paths, and we take every chance we can to get outside for a walk.

Our neighborhood includes lots of parks, schools in walking distance, restaurants and many families. We are close enough to two of Jeremy’s siblings that we can walk to their house or meet up for a coffee at a local cafe.

OPENNESS:

We have witnessed the beauty of open adoption in a very personal way. Some of our best friends have adopted and are raising incredible children. Each summer, we spend a week on Vancouver Island with them along with their birth mother and her family. Being part of that time together has taught us so much about trust, respect, and the deep connections that can grow when everyone is centered around the love of a child. It has shown us how supported and cherished a child can feel when they are surrounded by people who care for them in different ways.

Because of these experiences, we want you to know that we are open to openness. More than anything, we want to honor what feels right for you. Your comfort, your boundaries, and your wishes will always guide the relationship. Our hope is to build something grounded in respect, care, and the shared love we have for your child.

Thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile!
