OUR PROMISE TO YOU:
We can’t promise to be perfect parents, but we can promise to love your child with our whole hearts, every single day.
We promise to raise them in a home where they feel safe being exactly who they are, in a home where music plays in the kitchen while we cook, where creativity is encouraged, and where feelings are always welcome.
We promise to support their dreams, help them through hard things, and show up for them - consistently and wholeheartedly. We will tell them where they come from. They will know your love, your strength and courage, the important role you play in their story, if this is something that you wish for. We promise to create space for openness and honesty and to honour their connection to you. If you choose us, we will carry that trust with the deepest respect.
ABOUT US:
Our family is built on love, respect, laughter, and being there for each other - no matter what. We’ve created a life that’s rooted in deep connection, shared values, and showing up for the people we love. And we are so ready to grow our family and share that same foundation with a child.
We met at the Squamish Days Logger Sports Festival, a community event Robyn grew up attending with her whole family. Her grandfather and uncles competed every year. We were inseparable from the moment we met and have now been together for 12 years (6 married). We're building a life full of love, adventure, and growth.
We run a successful digital advertising agency from home, which gives us a flexible lifestyle and lots of time together (and with our future child ♥). Our 8-year-old rescue dog named Cali-rooo brings so much love and laughter to our lives.
Working online means we can work from anywhere. We love travelling to Tofino to surf and recharge, visiting Robyn’s sister and our nieces in Squamish, and going up-island to spend time with our godchildren; swimming, river floats, and critter hunts. Each summer, we spend time at Nate’s family's property in Ontario - picking from the garden, swimming, playing pickleball with the grandparents, and enjoying big family dinners.
We’ve both navigated learning disabilities, Nate with ADHD and Robyn with dyslexia, which have shaped us into patient, empathetic, and understanding people - qualities we know will guide us as parents.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY:
Our immediate family includes Nate, Robyn, and our rescue pup Cali, who is calm, snuggly, and loved by everyone who meets her.
Our chosen family includes close friends and relatives from all walks of life, including families who’ve also adopted through Sunrise. We’re surrounded by people who have birthed children, struggled with infertility, adopted, and supported loved ones through similar journeys. Two of our close family friends have adopted, and witnessing their beautiful journeys and growing families has been incredibly inspiring. Even our new neighbours across the street have an adopted daughter.
This network of close friends and family has been with us through the ups and downs of our own fertility experience, and it continues to be a source of support and excitement as we step into our adoption journey.
We truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, and we’re beyond grateful to already have one.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY:
We just bought our first home with a yard! It's a light-filled character house in Victoria, BC, with three bedrooms and a beautiful kitchen. Nate loves cooking, and Robyn enjoys meal prepping for us. The kitchen is the heart of our home, where we make and share food while having conversations and listening to music. We walk to coffee shops, the grocery store, and the beach. Robyn enjoy morning walks with Cali, and in the evenings, we walk to the beach to watch the sunset. Our home is just blocks from the rec centre, schools, and a playground, we feel it's the perfect spot to raise a child.

OPENNESS:
We believe that adoption is rooted in love, connection, and collaboration. We recognize that openness can manifest in various forms and may evolve over time. We’re committed to navigating it with compassion, honesty, and respect, always keeping your child’s best interests at the heart of every decision.
More than anything, we want your child to grow up knowing where they come from, feeling deeply loved by both you and us, and having space to ask questions, process their story, and feel proud of every part of who they are.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to learn about us.
If you feel a connection with us, we’d love to meet and learn more about the kind of relationship you’re hoping for. No pressure, just an open and honest conversation.
With love,
Robyn & Nate
