Steve and Christy

OUR PROMISE TO YOU:

The biggest desire in our hearts is to have a little one that we can cherish, love and provide for. We view life as a gift and it is not lost on us the blessing a child would be.

Our promise to you is that if we were entrusted with your child, we would strive to be the most loving parents we could be and foster a safe, nurturing environment for the little one to grow in. Furthermore, our promise is that any child we have will know and be taught that they were created with a purpose and that they are loved beyond measure.

We have the biggest respect for you and are praying that you would have peace with whatever decision you make.

Thank you for taking the time to look over our profile.

ABOUT US:

4 years ago, we met on a blind date and within a year realized we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together and got married. Early on we had talked about adoption as a special way to grow our family, but we had thought we would do that in and amongst having biological children as well. However, after 3 years of struggling with infertility we decided to go ahead and pursue adoption.

Things Christy says about Steve…

Steve is the kindest man I know. He is such a positive, steady person and I am truly blessed to have him as my husband. For hobbies Steve loves anything outdoors whether it’s hiking, hunting, gardening or fishing. He also loves hosting dinners and visiting with friends. For work Steve is a family doctor. What I find extra special about Steve, is that though he is such a smart, educated man, he is very humble and down to earth.

To see Steve step into the role of a dad would be the biggest blessing as I know he would be the most loving, steady, adventurous and kind father out there.

Things Steve says about Christy…

Christy is the sweetest person I have ever met. She loves the simple things in life whether it’s gardening, baking, beekeeping or just visiting and drinking coffee. For work Christy is a registered ER nurse. Her heart is filled with joy and she has a special way of making everyone around her smile. I know she will be a wonderful mother as she is so kind, patient and caring and truly loves kids.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY:

Our current household is just the two of us as well as our pets; the cats Gus Gus and Toulouse (AKA toots), and Lucy our sweet little puppy.

On a larger scale though, we have been blessed with a big loving family who we are very close with. A child in our home would be surrounded by many grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins who are so excited to welcome another member to the crew. Family is very important to us and most weekends are spent meeting up for dinners, outdoor adventures or visiting over coffee together.

We also have lots of close friends who are like family to us as well. Many of our friends already have kids and babies so we are looking forward to adding our own little one to the mix. We know there will be many fun playtimes and adventures together.

OUR HOME & COMMUNITY:

Our home is a cozy little place on an acreage 10 minutes from town. We love living in the country and find it extra special to be able to enjoy nature and even watch deer and many other animals from our front deck. Plus, we both love puttering around the yard and every year seem to end up building more vegetable gardens and flower beds to enjoy.

Communities that we are a part of are our church and work groups. Our church is made up of a very diverse mix of ethnicities and backgrounds. For our work group, we are very close and often do staff dinners, fishing and hiking adventures together.

OPENNESS:

Honesty and respect are very important to us. When considering raising our child, we promise to be open and honest with them about their adoption story and respectful in the way we tell it.

We know how beneficial it is not only for the child, but also the birth parents, and adoptive parents to be connected. For this reason, if openness is something you as the birth parents are wanting, we would honor that and try our best to help foster relationships going forward.
